Our partners are extremely important in helping us accomplish our goals.
Since we began, Stew Of Sustainability™️ has been rescuing surplus food donations from restaurants, food service providers, and catering companies. Utilizing the standard operating procedures developed by Dr. Ben Chapman (NCSU), the prepared food is properly cooled, sealed, labeled, and frozen to ensure a prolonged shelf-life. We then provide the frozen prepared food to various soup kitchens and food banks in the Greater Charlotte Area to feed those in need.
Now that we’re returning to some normalcy in the restaurant and service arena, we’re hoping to establish new partnerships with restaurants and food service providers to rescue food surplus and continue our mission. This program has provided our existing partners with the equipment, packaging, and labeling needed free of charge and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
